Itinerary

  • Day 1, Arrives at Ahmedabad – Jamnagar – Dwarka (450kms)

    Arrival at Ahmedabad. Meet to Greet & Proceed for Dwarka. Dwarka is one of the seven most holy Hindu pilgrimage cities in India. Dwarka is located in the Jamnagar district of Gujarat. Dwarka is on the mouth of the Gomti River into Gulf of Kutch. Dwarka is famous for Dwarkadhish Temple, built on north bank of the Gomti River. Arrival at Dwarka. Evening Aarti Darshan at Dwarkadhish Temple. Overnight stay at hotel.

  • Day 2, Dwarka – Byt Dwarka – Nageshwar Jyotirling – Dwarka

    Attend early morning Aarti at Dwarkadhish temple. Have breakfast & thereafter visit Bet Dwarka & Nageshwar Jyotirling. Bet Dwarka – Also known as Bet Shankhoddar, Bet Dwarka is only 5 kms from Okha Junction in sea and Okha is 30 kms from Dwarka. It is said to be the place where Lord Krishna lived with his family when the ruled at Dwarka. It is also the place where Vishnu slew the demon Shankhasura. Visitors make it a point to visit the Krishna temple at this site which holds much of interest to be seen and experienced. Nageshwar (08th jyotirlinga) – Mahadev The Puranas mention 12 Jyotirlingas or columns of light representing Lord Shiva, who manifested himself in that form in different parts of India. This shiva shrine near Dwarka is one of these and is there- fore accorded great respect. Rukmani Temple – Temple of Lord Krihsna’s wife. Overnight stay at Dwarka.

  • Day 3, Dwarka – Porbandar – Somnath (250kms)

    Morning proceed to Porabandar, Visit Kirti temple, Sudam known as house & born place of Mahatma Gandhi. In back side house of Kasturba wife of Gandhi. Also visit of Gandhi museum, study room of Mahatma Gandhi in the Kirti temple. Later visit of Sudama temple & continue proceed to Somnath, evening Aarti Darshan at Somnath Temple - A lord Shiva temple known as Jyotirling built by Moon God. Enjoy lighting and sounding Show. Overnight stay at Somnath.

  • Day 4, Somnath – Ahmedabad (400kms)

    After breakfast drive to Ahmedabad visit Akshardham Temple (Monday Closed) Akshardham is situated in the capital city of Gandhinagar, which lies near Ahmadabad. The magnificent temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan. It was constructed on the directions of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the spiritual leader of BAPS Sanstha. The complex of this temple is the largest in Gujarat. Akshardham temple was inaugurated in the year 1992 and has become a major tourist attraction in India, during the last decade. It has a sprawling 23 acre area and is chiseled out in pink sandstone. Overnight Stay at Ahmedabad.

  • Day 5, Ahmedabad – Ujjain (400kms)

    Morning after breakfast drive to Ujjain and visit Mahakaleshwar Temple and night halt in Ujjain. One of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India, the lingam at the Mahakala is believed to be swayambhu (born of itself) deriving currents of power shakti) from within itself as against the other images and lingams which are ritually established and invested with mantra-shakti.

  • Day 6, Ujjain – Indore (60kms)

    Morning after breakfast visit KALBHAIRAV The present-day temple structure was built over the remains of an older temple. The original temple is believed to have been built by an obscure king named Bhadrasen. It has been mentioned in the Avanti Khanda of the Skanda Purana. Images of Shiva, Parvati, Vishnu and Ganesha belonging to the Paramara period (9th-13th century CE) have been recovered from the place. The temple walls were once decorated with Malwa paintings. However, only traces of these paintings are visible now. The present-day temple structure shows Maratha influence. According to the local tradition, after the Maratha defeat in the Third Battle of Panipat (1761 CE), the Maratha general Mahadaji Shinde offered his pagri (turban) to the deity, praying for victory in his campaign to restore the Maratha rule in North India. After successfully resurrecting Maratha power, he carried out restoration of the temple. Later drive to Indore and overnight stay at Indore.

  • Day 7, Indore – Omkareshwar – Maheshwar – Indore

    Morning proceed to Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple & MAHESWAR Come back to Indore. Omkareshwar is a Hindu temple dedicated to God Shiva. It is one of the 12 revered Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva. It is on an island called Mandhata or Shivapuri in the Narmada River; the shape of the island is said to be like the Hindu OM Symbol. Overnight Stay at Indore.

  • Day 8, Indore Departure

    Morning after breakfast transfer to Railway station / Airport for onward journey.
