Day 1, Chennai to Puducherry (Pondicherry) [180 Kms/3 Hrs] via Mamallapuram
Arrival at Chennai Airport / Railway Station and Transfer to Pondicherry. En route we do sightseeing of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mahabalipuram (also called Mamallapuram), which is about 80 km/1.5 hrs south. Explore the monuments of Mamallapuram including the Shore Temple, Arjuna's Penance, Pancha Rathas, and the Varaha Cave. You Can Try lunch at a local restaurant in Mahabalipuram and try some South Indian specialties like Dosa, Idli, and Vada. In the afternoon, continue your journey to Pondicherry, which is about 100 km/2 hrs south of Mahabalipuram. Day 2, Puducherry (Pondicherry): Auroville, Serenity Beach and White Town

In the afternoon, explore the local markets and shops in Pondicherry. Look for handicrafts, textiles, French colonial artifacts, and local spices. In the evening, visit Paradise Beach, a beautiful beach located on Chunnambar backwaters. Book a scenic boat ride, relax on the pristine beach, and try some fresh seafood at the shacks. From Paradise Beach you can also take a walk along the coast and reach Eden beach, a very famous and first Blue Flag beach of Pondicherry [Blue Flag certification is a globally recognised eco-label accorded by “Foundation for Environment Education in Denmark.” It is awarded to beaches, marinas and sustainable boat tourism operators that meet the set requirements].
